The G Free Body technology has been developed to shift the reel's center of gravity closer to the rod, reducing fatigue and enhancing casting comfort for the angler. X-Ship provides improved gear durability by supporting the pinion gear on both ends with bearings, maintaining precise alignment with the drive gear and eliminating friction between the spool shaft and gear, enhancing casting performance with lighter lures and allowing for longer casts.
The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity, its stiffness and impact resistance virtually eliminating body flexing, transforming the angler's actions directly into cranking power. The Cross Carbon Drag material provides a wider range of drag settings and the smoothest Shimano drag performance ever. The S A-RB bearings feature shields on both sides, reducing the possibility of salt or sand inhibiting the bearing's rotation.
At the heart of the reel is the HAGANE Gear, with amazing strength and durability. Shimano's state-of-the-art technologies and cold forging technology ensure the long-lasting smoothness and pleasure that is felt when using the reel, with no cutting work applied to the teeth of the drive gear.
